Sunday Work Party

On Sunday the working party was down to two. As the fields were still very wet and there was just the two of us we stayed in the Llay road bridge area. We trimmed back some willow that we planted next to the road bridge some years ago and we have replanted some of the offcuts in the same area, hopefully these will take too. The farmer has mowed the edges on the right bank up to the sraight cut, this will give us a good start in maintaining access in the new season. In a couple of places large branches had fallen onto the river side access, we have removed these.

As it is unclear who will be available next Sunday we have yet to decide where or we shall be or if we will have to cancel. So please keep an eye on this page.

Change of Membership Secretary

At the AGM at the beginning of the year our Membership Secretary Graham Alexander gave notice that he wished to retire at the end of the season. A huge debt of thanks goes to him for all the hard work he has put in as the first contact with potential new members. He always made time to send details of what to use / how to fish the river, along with many telephone conversations to help new members.

Our new secretary is Les Jervis, he can be contacted at: -
